Groups for Adults
: We grow most as Christians when we meet regularly together, for Bible study, prayer, and support, therefore, we encourage every member of St Peter's to join a Small Group. More than 20 Small Groups meet fortnightly across the area in people's homes, with groups in the evenings as well as a few during the daytime. With Bible studies, prayer and regular socials this is a great way to get to know people really well in a big church.
: No matter what your week looks like, there's a group that's perfect for you!
WOW is a ladies group where women of all ages come to enjoy a social evening of entertainment, chat, and a short Christian talk. They meet on the third Thursday of every month at 7:45pm. A great group to come to if you want to make friends, or to bring a friend for the first time.
Cameo is a women's Bible study group that meets every Tuesday morning from 10am to 11:20am during school term time. There is a well-staffed creche that allows mums with little ones to come as well, and lots do. There's a real buzz about this growing group - come along and find out why.
Women's Fellowship is a group for older ladies which meets each Thursday afternoon between 2:30 - 4pm. They enjoy visiting speakers, quizzes, art demonstrations, and day trips. Each meeting includes a hymn and a short talk from the Bible.
: We have a good number of men at St Peter's, and that's partly because there is so much going on for them.
Men's Breakfast meets on the third Saturday of the month between 8am and 9:30am, and enjoys a full English Breakfast for £2, followed by a talk that focuses on the challenges and excitement of following Jesus in the family and the workplace.
Men's Lunch normally meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month; men gather for tea and coffee from 11:30am, tuck into a great lunch at 12:30pm, and listen to a guest Christian speaker. We've had MPs, Army Officers, Consultant Surgeons, and the chaplain of West Ham Football Club in recent times. Please click here for more details about the group.
If you look after children aged between 0 and school year 1, why not join other dads at DBC (Dads, Babies, Children). It runs from 10-11:30am on the first Saturday of every month. It costs £1.50 for a dad and 1 child, or £2 for a dad and 2+ children, with bacon rolls and filter coffee thrown in!
